From the Walt Disney World News and written by: Chuck Guth
For the next few weeks, as we wait through Disney’s closure, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite discoveries. I cannot tell you how many times I have walked “around the world” in Epcot and only recently discovered this hidden gem in Japan.
Tucked over to one side, across from the main building, is a little quick service bar. I really never even noticed it until it was recommended to me. It is now one of my favorites and I know I have turned on at least a couple of people to its uniqueness.
The menu is simple! Beer, Sake, Wine, and Cocktails along with the usual park drinks. However, allow me to tell you about the Violet Sake and Tokyo Sunset. I will not pass Japan now without grabbing a Violet Sake. It is a nice blend of Sake, Purple Pear syrup and lime juice. Totally refreshing with a nice little kick. My wife loves the Tokyo Sunset which has Coconut Rum, Crème de Banana, Peach Schnapps and Pineapple Juice. She calls it her special island drink. The most recent Seasonal Cocktail was the Ringo Punch. It has Plum Wine, Sake, Peach Schnapps, and Apple/Pear syrups. I have not tried it, but another customer loved it.
If you are “drinking around the world” or just looking for something new to try then I encourage you to give this destination a try. You will not be disappointed and like me, it may become a favorite. Bottoms up and Cheers!
