Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Was Evacuated at Disney World

From the Walt Disney World News and written by: Sean Sposato

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was evacuated at Walt Disney World–giving guests another sight to see at the high-end hotel experience: the outside of the building!

Per a report from Cinemablend, it seems something went a little haywire at the highly-themed hotel themed after a galaxy far, far away, which required a full evacuation of all guests from the inside of the hotel. The evacuation is said to have lasted about 30 minutes before guests were eventually let back inside of the themed hotel to continue with the guided experience.

During this evacuation–one guest thought it might be exciting to catch another side of the hotel: it’s outside. Well, as you probably guessed, it’s simply the outside of a building with regular stairs. Below is what that guest saw.

In the second image of the carousel post, a mass of guests can be seen sitting and standing on a nearby grass lawn waiting for instructions from cast members. In the comment of the post, jp_visits_disney writes, “I am not wearing the correct outfit to be in the sun for long!”

From the images its obvious the evacuation took place during a warmer time of the day and unfortunately the guests didn’t have a shady area to wait out the evacuation. Luckily, it was only a half hour and it seems some guests actually had umbrellas to help shield themselves from the sun.

At this time we are not sure exactly why the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser had to be evacuated of all of its guests. If the resort gives us an update we’ll be sure to share it here first!
